Dwarf Orange - Cara Cara QLD ONLY AvocadoA very popular blood orange tree in a dwarf variety so it grows to a max height of 2. 5m in the ground or in a pot. Grafted and currently around 50 60cms . It is a mature tree that produces fruit in summer. A red fleshed navel, this variety was discovered in Venezuela in 1976. It has pink to red flesh similar to Star Ruby grapefruit. In South Africa it matures slightly earlier than Washington navel. It is sweet and the fruit often grows quite large.

Heavy cropping

The high acidity makes it ideal for jams and jellies but removing the seed and skin can be time consuming

the fruit is succulent and mildly flavoured

Kwai Mai Pink has become the main export variety especially to Hong Kong

They have a small clingstone seed that is easy to remove when the fruit is ripe

the skin is edible and it’s the perfect snack for kids

Grows to a max height of 4-6m  and is ideal for growing in the backyard

anywhere you would use a touch of citrus

Straight from the tree wampees are very refreshing

but can easily be kept at 2m with pruning
