The back ground is printed trash material, the "Bear Mask" is originally a drawing by the artist of a ceramic piece from the Met which was then made into a linoleum print then scanned and made into a silkscreen, and the wild ferns (silkscreen was created using real dried ferns from the Catskills) are printed.
