Vintage 1950-1960’s Royal Vale Gold Chintz Fine Porcelain Tea Trio Office SuppliesHJ Colclough began manufacturing in 1897 and became Colclough China Ltd in 1937. In 1908 the firm expanded to the Vale Works in Longton and the Vale trade name began to be used. Later after the royal visit of King George IV and Queen Mary to the Vale Works Royal Vale was officially used. This item is a fine porcelain tea trio consisting of the tea plate, saucer and matching tea cup, with the tea plate designed in the squared shape and all three items

were originally established by James Gildea who joined the firm of Bates and Walker in 1878 as a partner

More stylish than the usual stainless steel bowls encountered

but the set is still lovely for display/decorative purposes

all 6 bowls are in very good condition with no cracks

aside from which all 12 spoons are in perfect condition with no rust

Hand painted with a brightly colourful variety of blooming flowers and a single golden yellow bee
