Description
Domaine Dujac, Chambolle Musigny Les Gruenchers Vintage:2009(from a . 33 ha parcel of 50+ year old vines). An intensely floral nose also displays notes of various red berry fruit and discreet hints of anise and sandalwood. There is good punch to the fleshy midpalate of the medium bodied flavors that possess a slightly dusty and mildly edgy but not really austere finish that is notably shorter than it usually is. There is plenty of gas present but this is a bit of a question mark even while acknowledging that
a blend of 80% Roussanne and 20% white Grenache fermented 80% in tank and 20% in barrel
Not much has changed since then
The 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Chaupin is all Grenache
it has great concentration
Along with the Blanchots this is the most floral wine in the range with its elegant nose of pear
Masculine compared to its peers
rhubarb and cocoa
mineral driven
This mind boggling wine was an epiphany
sandalwood
There is real size and weight to the very solidly concentrated large-scaled flavors that are supported by ripe tannins that are also unusually fine-grained in the context of the appellation
the pedigree of the great Barolo vineyards simply cant be denied
