Jim Barry Florita Riesling 2024 375ml half-bottleFlorita, I think, often has this purity about it. Hows the purity? Lemon, lime, lemongrass, lavender perfume. Its bright, and pure, essence of Clare Riesling with enough flavour to carry it, though not too much, and the acidity feel particularly fine and well settled, and theres this quiet stony grip, with a bright finish of very good length, a light gin and tonic with a twist of citrus carrying in the aftertaste. Excellent. 95 points, drink 2024

The 2019 is seriously impressive

with the interplay of forest floor

that bears the current-day Coriole stamp of light-handed making

and I wouldn't be surprised to see it have an interesting evolution over the coming decade
