Rare Set of 7 French Apothecary JarsA set of seven matching apothecary jars is quite a rare find! Here we have arsenic, poppy, aconitum (wolf's bane), hashish, cocaine, morphine, and opium. These are made in Meillonnas, a town in the east of France between Lyon and Geneva. The style of flora seen on these jars is particular to this region and has been since the 18th century. They are hand painted. It is difficult to say exactly when they are from but I would suppose sometime between the
