It's round

velvety core of black cherries

with intense black and blue fruit flavors and a touch of candied violet

There is also a pronounced

but a very opulent wine with marked chewy tannins

Zesty and citrus-tinged

spicy layers

it still is pretty intense

and this is something I often recognize in warm-vintage Brunello
