Description
Michel Bouzereau, Puligny Montrachet Champ Gain Vintage:2023(from a . 40 ha parcel that abuts Truffire). Like the Tessons, this is aromatically quite cool with restrained aromas of mostly floral and citrus along with background hints of green apple. The sleek, intense and more obviously mineral driven medium weight flavors possess fine balance on the very dry finale. This will need to develop better depth to merit the upper end of my projected range.
Slightly more rustic than its peers for now
with rainfalls in June and August
he does though through a play on words as “interdit” means prohibited
this red is reserved yet harmonious and structured
even by the elevated standards of Corton-Charlemagne
23 ha parcel of vines planted in ’62 and ’68)
This is a fabulous showing from the 2005
I had a fabulous visit with proprietor Andre Perret at his cellar located just north of Chavanay
tannic and austere vintages from this estate
this seemed decidedly old world with a spicy
even the older ones
Tannins still quite marked
