Skiving leather is the process of reducing leather thickness from a heavy weight to a lighter weight. Often used to skive corners, edges, folds, and hard to reach areas. It can also be used as a leather grooving tool. The BG leather French skiver is made with a BG custom designed cocobolo wood handle that fits comfortably in the hand for long stretches of work.
