The instrument is used (dry) to wedge into the space on the inside of the canal curve between the separated file and the canal wall

Katana-V is ultrasonic tip with flat surface that should face towards the separated file

The Micro-trephine bur is used at 600 rpm in a counter-clockwise direction to encourage separated files to unthread from the canal as the trough is cut

ED89(TFRK-Katana H) tips usually cut only a quarter slot of the circle

The TFRK-ME has extremely fine spear-shaped tips with a smooth surface for bypassing ledged canals and exploring the canal for broken files or other impediments (Seen as instrument on right)
