Tripp This publication discusses the Ferron oil and gas field at Townships 20 21 South, Range 7 East. The field lies immediately south and east of the town of Ferron, Utah in east central Utah. It is situated in the Castle Valley, on the west flank of the San Rafael Swell. The Wasatch Plateau lies to the west. The publication gives an overview of the geologic setting, trap, pay and depth, status, and discovery and operation of the field.
