Apple Chisel JerseyApple Chisel Jersey An old variety of cider apple from Somerset, dating back to the late 19th century. Medium sized, unevenly shaped, greenish brown apples with a crimson flush, giving a strong, bittersweet juice high in tannin and sugar, best blended with a sweeter variety. Apple Chisel Jersey is a vigorous, upright tree, and a spur bearer. Very cold hardy and late flowering, its a good choice for colder areas. Susceptible to scab. Reliable cropper
