A Good Walnut George II Chest of Drawers, Formerly a Chest on Stand c.1730-50Origin: English Period: George II Provenance: Unknown Date: c. 1730 50 Width: 38. 75 Height: 41. 5 Depth: 21. 25 (all at top) The walnut and oak carcass of superior colour with a moulded cornice above an arrangement of two short and four long graduated feather banded drawers, with paneled sides, having near period brass drop handles and later feet, survives from George II period England. The chest shows some rather attractive wear and tear with

the sofa surviving from the first quarter of the twentieth century

the distress to the paint commensurate with age survives from the early nineteenth century
