Palestrina / Handl - Two Easter Motets for Five TrombonesJeff Reynolds has beautifully arranged Two Easter Motets for Five Trombones by Palestrina and Handl, both Renaissance composers. They are liturgical choral motets. The Palestrina Exultate Deo has long lyrical lines for each part and the Ascendit Deus by Handl has alternating marcato and lyrical sections ending off with a glorious climax. The two works are suitable for moderately advanced performers and are about 4 minutes total in length. Free PDF
