silk yak fingeringSilk Yak Fingering is hand dyed by Alley Cat Yarns, a local Ottawa indie dyer, in a superwash merino, silk, and yak blend that covers a lot of ground. The merino provides the familiar bounce and softness of a quality sock base; the silk adds sheen, drape, and a cool smoothness; and the yak: often underappreciated: contributes a quiet warmth and a subtle softness that's distinctly its own. Hand dyed in small batches, so colours vary between dyelots:
