2009 Château Palmer, Margaux, BordeauxDeep, sweet, concentrated and rich with a length and breadth that is totally mesmerising, I kept coming back to the bottle for another snifter as I couldn't put into words how exciting it was. What a majestic beast! I'm not going to say its better or less good that the perfect 2005 Palmer; it appeals to different parts of me. The 2009 is a tad more expansive and seductive with just a smidgen of decadent puppy fat: truly great. Berry Bros. & Rudd

The 1999 is an exquiste wine laced with the essence of red berry fruit

Wafting from the glass with aromas of tobacco leaf

For the Rosé

the spicy nose with notes of licorice and pepper leads on to a rich balanced palate with lashings of sweet loganberries and cassis with tobacco hints

while the palate is refined

earthy depth and gravel note of terroir

This “solar” vintage produced very ripe fruit

Soy-tinged red fruit segues into blacker

but it has reached a new level of excellence in recent years
