Of a hugely popular subject this is a super little painting

the free-standing bookcase in the seventeenth century style with a central arcaded lower panel with architectural columns and nulling to the cornice

The good quality ebonised side cabinet having hand-bevelled glass doors consisting of seven geometric panels to each side with a further larger rectangular panel above

One does not see many period pieces of this size and shape at all
