A 19thC English Pine Artist’s Lay Figure by Roberson & Co. c.1890Origin: English Period: Late Victorian Provenance: Unknown Date: c. 1890 Height: 13 Width: 3 Depth: 2 (all at extremities) The late nineteenth century English pine artist's lay figure, having articulated pivoted ball joints allowing for a natural bending and turning the arms and legs, with pencil inscriptions to the reverse and the partially discernible ink stamp for Roberson & Co Ltd, the whole with a good patina and surviving from the late Victorian

There is a curious red symbol to the bottom of her dress which may be the families heraldic crest

The beautifully carved large and weighty solid marble mourning monument

The whole frame is in original condition with the glass and backing plate all as it should be

and the canvas remains in an uncleaned state meaning much of the background is a little darker than it once was
